Here’s What I Noticed When I Started Using CBD Oil
Halfway through setting up Ciao CBD I was updating a friend on the progress I’d made when she asked whether I’d actually tried CBD. It suddenly dawned on me that here I was writing about a product that I hadn’t even tried. So the next day, I set out to buy some CBD oil.
As this was the first time I was buying CBD oil I wanted to go to an actual store so I could look at what products were available and ask any questions that might spring to mind. As I also wanted to go to a bespoke store where I figured they’d have a more in depth knowledge of the various products to choose from, I chose LDN CBD, the UK’s first CBD boutique based in London’s Camden.
On the day I visited, the manager Eddy was behind the counter and he was happy to talk me through their small but high quality range of CBD oil products. Eventually, I settled on their own label product - without any pressure, I might add - which is a full spectrum (whole plant), organic oil with 5% CBD oil within a coconut oil base. As a beginner, I decided to start with 5% to see how I got on as I figured I could always work my way up from there.
The first month…
I’d been advised by Eddy to take 3 drops under the tongue twice a day which I did religiously. First of all, the taste and the best way I can describe it is that it had a smooth, sort of nutty taste. It wasn’t horrible, just different and after a few seconds it was gone. After I’d finished my first bottle I did try CBD oil in Hemp Seed Oil but I found the taste to be a bit too sharp for me.
The first thing I noticed was that in the morning, and I’m a bit of a night owl, I woke up feeling more rested and refreshed no matter what time I’d gone to bed. The second noticeable effect was a reduction in the lower back pain I was suffering from as a result of endless hours sitting at the table writing. Within four weeks, I can honestly say it had disappeared and so far, it hasn’t come back.
An unexpected but very welcome benefit is the impact it’s had on my skin. It seems to have given me a more rested look as lately, several people have asked me if I’ve been away on holiday as I look so refreshed. So I’m now on my 3rd bottle of CBD oil and I have been surprised at the changes I’ve noticed so I’ll keep on taking it and write another update when I’ve passed the six months mark.
When I tell people I’m taking CBD they’re always intrigued by what it is and what changes I’ve noticed, and on hearing my story, a friend promptly ordered some CBD oil for her 82 year old mother who suffers from arthritis. Aside from the fact that she swears it’s reduced the pain she was feeling, from what I can gather, amongst her friends, her mother’s street cred has gone through the roof!
