It’s the first such partnership between a CBD brand and a mental health service but given the increase in the use of CBD as a way to manage stress and anxiety, it makes perfect sense. It is also a sign of Love Hemp’s plans to become a fully-fledged wellness brand.
In talking of his pride at the partnership, Tony Calamita, CEO of Love Hemp Group described mental health as the ‘silent epidemic’ and that they chose Togetherall because it ‘bridges the gap for those who don’t want to talk to friends or family or seek professional help’.
He added that, ‘The team at Love Hemp wanted to give back to our community of customers and partners by offering them access to free mental health support, 24/7.’
What is Togetherall
Togetherall is a peer to peer community where users provide emotional support, help and guidance to one another encouraging those with a mental illness to talk and share. The service is moderated by a team of trained mental health professionals who monitor the community’s needs to ensure they’re interacting in a safe environment at all times.
To protect identities, Togetherall doesn’t use real names and the service provides its users with access to a range of courses and resources to help understand the different kinds of mental health and just as importantly, the various ways to support them.
That means that you get to join a supportive and safe online community of over 300,000 users and talk openly and anonymously about your feelings or experiences.
Togetherall has been around for 14 years and has a global base of mental health professionals providing 24/7, 365 days a year support. In that time, they’ve also worked with the British Army and the NHS.
You’re not alone
We have to confess that we’d never heard of Togetherall before we saw news of the Love Hemp partnership but after looking at their site and watching a few of their videos, we love the fact that they really encourage users to open up and share.
When you think that one of the biggest problems with things like anxiety and depression is that we don’t talk about it as much as we should because we may be ashamed, or think that we can cope on our own, the idea of talking to someone else who may have or is going through something similar could make all the difference.
The service encourages its users to get creative and express themselves on a virtual brick which is then posted on a wall and to keep a personal journal of their thoughts and feelings.
All of this is designed to enable users to work towards their own goals and identify what they may be feeling so they can chart their progress and work towards getting better.
As they say, a problem shared is a problem halved so well done Love Hemp for such a brilliant and timely partnership that anyone can access, whether they’re just feeling a bit down or suffering from something more serious.
The fact that it’s free is the icing on the cake so if you’re over 16 and want to subscribe to Love Hemp’s newsletter to get access to Togetherall, here’s where you can sign up.
